"I'm incredibly grateful to announce the endorsement of Sheriff Greg Zyburt," said Lorinser. "In and outside the county, voters know Greg Zyburt for his proactive approach to law enforcement. He's done incredible things for the entire State of Michigan as a law enforcement leader, and it's a true honor to have him in our corner."


Sheriff Zyburt, known for his dedication to improving Marquette County highlighted their shared commitment to reducing crime and improving community well-being.

"Bob is an addiction specialist, and his dedication to treatment over punishment aligns with my efforts to decrease recidivism and provide help to those suffering from addiction. Sheriff Greg Zyburt brings a wealth of law enforcement experience to his endorsement, having served as the Chief of Police in Chocolay Township for 35 years before assuming the role of Marquette County Sheriff in 2017.


His accomplishments include securing over a million dollars in grant funds to enhance technology and service, advocating for body-worn cameras, and actively participating in various law enforcement boards and committees.


Sheriff Zyburt's expertise and dedication have earned him recognition, including an invitation to testify before a White House criminal justice panel in 2015 and an appointment by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards.
