About the event

About this event

The Mackinac Bridge Walk is a perfect way for Michiganders to show their support of the Reproductive Freedom for All constitutional amendment.

Dr. Bob Lorinser is encouraging his supporters to meet up with RFFA and show your support with photos before and after the bridge walk, starting at 6:00 a.m. A group photo is planned on both sides of the bridge for 6:30 a.m.

Supporters leaving from the Upper Peninsula will meet in Bridge View Park in St. Ignace at 6 a.m.; supporters leaving from the Lower Peninsula will meet in Old School Park in Mackinaw City at 6 a.m. Both groups will begin walking at 7 a.m. They will walk to the midpoint of the bridge, signifying that support for the ballot measure spans both peninsulas, then each group will turn around and return to their starting locations. The ACLU of Michigan will supply each participant with a t-shirt and water.Note - This event will be updated as needed.

  • There are no bathroom facilities on the bridge; however, there will be port-a-potties located at each end of the bridge. Walkers should anticipate walking for two-hours. Please plan accordingly.
  • Parking is limited and will fill up fast. The earlier you arrive the better. No bus transportation across the bridge will be provided as part of the event. Walkers who decide to walk across the entire bridge will need to arrange their own transportation back to the end of the bridge where they started after the bridge reopens to public traffic at noon.
  • It’s a good idea to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hats, etc.
