MARQUETTE, Mich. — As the first quarter of our campaign closed on September 30th, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your early financial contributions to our efforts. We launched our efforts in Mid-August and began serious fundraising only two weeks ago. I am incredibly excited and energized by our progress to date.
We met our goal and your early contributions are instrumental in helping us establish vital campaign infrastructure to bring our message to the great people of the Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan. Because of your early commitments, our team has been able to:
Expand our digital / social media outreach (Facebook, Twitter, and Website) platforms to share my vision with a broad audience and to build a stage where we can fight back the misleading information that my opponent promotes.
Build our brand, logos, yard signs (available this spring), and photography
Purchase digital software that allows us the ability to organize, fundraise, and network with individuals in our congressional district and beyond.
Staff our campaign to ensure we are establishing a lasting infrastructure.
Purchase pamphlets, business cards, and thank you cards (yours is coming!), to maintain connections with our supporters and to bring our message to others.
Seed important infrastructure, and meet FEC compliance deadlines, to ensure we are doing everything by the book.
And, most importantly, your support has provided us with the resources necessary to seed a grassroots campaign providing me the opportunity to meet face to face with voters.
I know that we have a long road ahead of us, but I believe that we can win this very important election. We will win because Yoopers and Northern Michiganders are determined and know the right course of action. We will win because people will see improvements in their lives with a new path forward. We will win because people recognize the failures of the current Representative. We will win because most residents here reject reject extremism.
